Our fundraising efforts are very close to the target so the Club has chosen Solid Signs to erect an electronic video scoreboard at each of our grounds.
Examples to give you an idea of the final product once installed can be downloaded here.
Installation will take place around November this year, ready for season 2018.
The total cost of these projects is $121,000 but we are just a few thousand dollars short.
The club has Australian Sports Foundation 100% tax deduct-ability status for these so I am seeking a small donation from your family to get us over the line. I hope you can assist before 30 June as this will enable the funds to be allocated to the Club in the September quarter and you will receive a receipt to lodge for when you complete your tax return. It can be a personal or business donation.
Please go to: https://asf.org.au/donate/electronic-scoreboards-project/ and complete your details.
Many thanks to the parents and players who have made a donation to date.
In other news, the Club is close to finalising plans for 'once in a generation' new football and social facilities at the Mentone Reserve.Additionally, the State Government and the City of Kingston are in early discussions for funding towards upgrading the playing surface and change rooms at Southern Road.
We are hoping that works will commence during 2018 ready for the 2019 season and full details will be sent as soon as we can make the official announcement. I will send details for you to be part of the announcement once the project is signed off. Please contact me should you have any questions.
