girlsfootyphoto3St Bedes/Mentone Tigers provides a family club environment promoting females in football through fun! You too can play alongside your sister at our local community based club in Mentone! We grew from one U15 female team in 2015, to two teams (U15 & U18) in 2016. In 2017 are planning on having teams in the following age groups: U10, U12, U14, U16, U18 in the SMJFL and a senior women's team in the VAFA. We are also looking to grow participation at Auskick (U5s through to U9s) and run a girl's specific program. In our first season of VAFA we have appointed John Marshall as our senior coach. John comes with wealth of knowledge and experience having coached Fitzroy-ACU Women's Football Team and North Ballarat - both clubs playing in finals under John's coaching. CCHlogo2ClearCut Hairdressing, major sponsors to the mighty St Bedes/Mentone Tigers AFC, are delighted to announce an expansion of their sponsorship in 2017 to include sponsorship of the inaugural Women's Team in the new Victorian Amateur Football Association's Women's Competition. Announcing the popular move to players, coaches, officials and supporters at a lively pre-season training session recently, Marg and Ron Gordon said they were delighted to expand their involvement to cover the Women's Team at the Tigers in 2017. Marg indicated she looked forward to enlightening the women of the many benefits provided to them through the long established CcH sponsorship and working collaboratively with this group of vivacious talented young women to enjoy on-field success and become great ambassadors for themselves, the Club and sponsors alike through their involvement. We wish them every success in 2017.

sponsorshipcompassMembers and Supporters, we need you. Sponsorship is a vital source of revenue for the Club. It allows us to compete in the VAFA and SMJFL and keep player subscriptions at a lower cost. It also helps us better plan for the future: to identify, analyse and implement strategic decisions that will benefit the Club. With the development of Women's Football, the renovations to the club rooms and our involvement in A Grade football, now, more than ever, it is important that we continue to develop these sponsorships. Fiona Lawrence, Mery Kane and Steve Richards have done an outstanding job at managing our sponsorships over the years - raising almost $70,000 in sponsorship this year alone. Unfortunately, after four years Fiona has decided to move on to concentrate on other areas of the club, such as the Women of SBMT and allow some more time for family commitments. Therefore, we are looking for a new Sponsorship Manager, a Sponsorship and Corporate Partner Intern and 3-4 additional volunteers to assist in Sponsorship. Steve Richards and Mery Kane will remain very active members of the team and are available for discussion and day to day activities prior to the season starting. CONTACT US: If you wish to register your interest for any of these roles, please contact Fiona Lawrence, Mal Garside, Tim Beasley, Andrew Pettinella or email us at This email address is being protected from spambots.
