Following his recent decision not to seek re-election to the VAFA Board, Tom Brain has joined the Tigers in the role of Manager of Football Operations. "Tommy" who has often been a guest at the Club, "looks forward to joining the great team of volunteers at Brindisi St". President Matt Beasley welcomed Tommy, saying, "We're thrilled to have Tommy at the Club. His depth of experience on the Board and with the VAFA in general will be the basis of an invaluable contribution". Tom played over 150 games for ANZ Bank and was for many years its Secretary. Later he served a number of other clubs as General Manager/Secretary before joining the VAFA Board in 2003. He has had an active involvement in the promotion of the VAFA through many media outlets, most notably 88.3 Southern FM.
