At the recent Annual General Meeting, members unanimously re-elected Matt Beasley for his 5th year as President of our great Club. Matt thanked the Members for their support and spoke of some exciting developments in 2010. In a further vote of confidence, the vast majority of the 2009 Committee put up their hands and were also re-elected without hesitation. After many years of service, Andrew Whitelaw and Mark Beasley stepped down from Committee duties. Matt thanked and praised both men for their wonderful contributions over a sustained period. He highlighted the outstanding contribution Mark had made in terms of the history of the Club and the endless, hard & often thankless work “Whitey” had undertaken as a part of both the junior and financial operations. Earlier in the evening Treasurer Jon Kane reported a sound financial position and thanked everyone who had worked diligently in a fiscally challenging year. 2010 is not far away. The ground has been top dressed and looks sensational. Coaches are appointed and preseason training is almost upon us - the U17s have already started. Again we are hunters... Go Tigers!
